Patient of the Month – Nora
What made you seek out Integrative Medicine? In 2016 my one-year old daughter Nora was diagnosed with leukemia and also suffered a massive brain bleed. After a few months of chemotherapy and not getting into remission, her health continued to decline. Chemotherapy and modern medicine that was meant to save her life was actually slowly killing her. I knew that I had to do something before it was too late and that is when my research began. I decided to look into other options which led me to Integrative Medicine-true, holistic healing. From that moment forward, I started to regain hope and see my daughter’s future.
How has Zuza’s Way helped you along your healing journey? Dagmara has been absolutely wonderful-she is so kind, caring and genuine. I remember her looking me in the eyes and assuring me I had what it takes to help my daughter heal. She truly listens to your concerns and learns all that she can about her patients. Dagmara came up with a treatment plan and many recommendations to help improve Nora’s health. I honestly do not know what I would have done had I not crossed paths with Zuza’s Way and I am eternally grateful.
What therapies at Zuza’s Way have been most beneficial? I can’t say I found one thing more beneficial than the other. All of the supplements, juicing, bone broth, beet kvass, infrared sauna treatments, castor oil packs and more integrated together benefited Nora’s health.
What has been the hardest part of your journey? Honestly, all of it has been extremely hard. It is a parent’s worst nightmare that you can’t seem to wake from. I think the hardest part are the unknowns and watching your child go through something really, really hard and not being able to take their pain and struggles away.
What do you wish to share with others that are on a similar journey? I want others to know that there is so much more out there that you can do for your health or the health of a loved one. Modern medicine and integrative medicine can and should be bridged together to fill the gap in our health to create the best outcome and quality of life. In short, do not lose hope and fight for your health.
