There is always hope

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

At the age of 41, shortly after the onset of the covid pandemic shutdowns, I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, stage 1a. Having no family history of breast cancer and minimal risk factors, I was in shock.

For many years, my family and I had thrived on natural and alternative treatment options, and I knew that I would need more than the standard oncologic treatment for this journey. After the diagnosis, I immediately started looking for an integrative provider to support me alongside my conventional oncology and surgical team. After some digging on the internet, I found Dagmara's name and gave her a call.

As soon as the appointment was made, I felt a sense of peace and hope and that I would be able to have some control and options over the course of my treatment. The support that followed was incredible. Dagmara was understanding, supportive, open-minded, practical, and nonjudgmental. I felt understood and heard. She worked with my mainstream MD to order labs locally (I live several hours from the clinic), and she helped me figure out what to eat and what supplements to take, as well as taking LDN and trying mistletoe injections.

I chose to have a double mastectomy and declined any further conventional treatment, despite the advice of my oncologist. It was so good to have the encouragement and support of Dagmara to travel the unconventional path of healing mind, body, and spirit in nontoxic ways. I am currently cancer free and thriving!

Dagmara truly cares about each patient, and this care shines through in everything she does. Even though she was going through cancer treatments with her own child, her dedication and compassion for me and her other patients never wavered. I am so deeply touched by the care I have received and recommend Zuza's Way to anyone and everyone, especially those facing the difficult journey of a cancer diagnosis. There is always hope, there are many options, and there is so much we can do to empower and care for ourselves.
